Hiya, I'm turning 25 in october and this is my gift trip to myself. Ideal dates of travel between the 21st of October to early November.I'd like to sightsee and eat the local food. It would kinda suck by myself, so I'm looking for a travel buddy, to join me from Vancouver or along the way. I'm taking the Greyhound bus, so that's the big catch and reward too. The bus ticket from Vancouver, BC costs $218 US roundtrip, so I guess the closer you live to Philly, the cheaper it gets. I'd rather stay in a Holiday Inn or Doubletree type place as opposed to a hostel. But will stay in a hostel if that's how it works out.

I'm basically looking for someone easygoing, with a high patience level for long trips and has lots of stories. Likes to play those travel board games, and likes to share time and experience with others. Trustworthy, respect's other people's belongings and space as well. Will split costs on food and lodging to save money for both.

Between the ages of 18-30 ish, male or female, but not old enough to be my parent. Friendship or romance potential.

I'm willing to be more flexible with the dates of travel if that's one of the issues. I don't want to go alone. I could meet someone along the way as well, just to keep me company part of the way, or meet someone in Philly, or even both. Ideally though, I'd like a travel buddy for most of the trip so I don't have to navigate Philly alone.I'm obviously putting a lot of trust into people, but I guess that's one of the gambles associated with using a site like this.

Hello Van
Welcome to Travellerspoint. This is a great place to find answers, help others, and to make friends. Personally I wouldn't use it as a dating site or to find a travel partner. If your going to meet up with someone you have 'met' online, I would suggest a very public place and not give any personal info out on the net. I hope you have a wonderful trip!

Thanks for the tip, cupcake.Whomever I meet, I'll definitely meet them in a public place, just as I've met other people online.
