currently in the uk and have a working holiday maker visa - just wondering what customs is like coming back into heathrow (terminal 2) from part of the eu - im coming from greece - and have 2 hours between my arrival and my flight to paris from terminal 4! Will this be enough time to get through customs and then take the heathrow express between terminals?
hope i havent confused everyone - i am confused now!!!
Any help would be great!
as non EU passport holder you might expect a que - if it's a long one at terminal 2 you can walk 3 min to terminal 1 emmigration where there are shorter (on condition your main luggage will be transfered on Paris flight authomatically - it happens when you travel with this same airline or they are part of this same network).
there is a shuttle bus to terminal 4 - heathrow express will take you straight to Paddington in the centre of town.
2h should be enough - but seat at any empty chair near the airplanes door and run first to emmigration.
I might have been lucky but i had no problems and i am a NO EU passport holder, just depends on the day i think.
depends how many flights do come at this same time and how many emmigration officers do bother to work. Sometimes it's around 30 min waiting
I am taking different flights, so i have to get out of emmigration - and then get my bag, take the heathrow express to terminal 4, and then check in again - MIGHT be cutting it a bit fine! - specially if any of my flights are delayed - might just pay the extra £30 and change my flight to an hour or so later - hmm...
thoughts on the matter?!
don't take the heathrow express - you will land in Paddington!
