The least expensive country to live in really depends on how much money you take with you, and what currency that money is.

eg. Brazil may be cheap, but not for the average Brazilian worker.

What about Eastern Europe?

I generally also find that high speed internet connections can be hard to come by in some of these countries.... seeing as you touched on it as a 'must'. Might depend on your definition of high speed too though!

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (Ranking 117)

CHEAP CHEAP country
- not as cheap as Thailand, but cheaper than Singapore

quit partying and travelling
- depends on where in KL you live

just live and work my ass off
- depends on what kind of work you're looking for

high speed internet
- Yes; ADSL, wireless broadband, free Wifi hotspots in Starbucks, etc.

cheap ass place/country to live in
- McDonald's value meal from as low as US$1.85, slightly more expensive than a normal local meal.
- US$10.00 for a sumptuous meal for two at Pizza Hut.

BTW, the pay could be just as cheap too. But then again, it depends on the industry you're in.

Zachary, can we assume that you'll be working via the internet and earning income in US dollars or another strong currency? That's a hell of deal if so. I met a girl down in Argentina who had an English friend working in Buenos Aires. He was earning British Pounds (or the Euro; can't quite recall) and living damn well. As for drinks and smokes, it's been about a year and I've since quit smoking but South America is the place to do it. A pack of smokes generally costs around US$1 and a litre of beer can cost about the same if purchased at a bottle shop. From a bar, you're looking at a couple bucks. Keep us posted and if you need an assistant, drop me a line!

And the fastest growing city in Europe. Man, way back then Republic of Ie was one of the third world countries. But lately, your Emerald Island is the 11th among the highest GDP in the world, surpassing Japan, Uk, france and Canada:http://www.worldfactsandfigures.com/gdp_country_desc.php

Try Manila, Philippines and other suburban cities like Cavite, Olongapo, Gapan, etc. Really cheap if you're earning by dollars or pound or euros. Hell if in pesos and depends on what work you have.

maybe but when you look at the cost of buying a house and trying to save money so you can travel it can be annoying, especially when you look at the average yearly wage increase compared to the inflation rates ,
