Dear travellers,
I'm a bit stuck. Don't suppose anyone can advise?
I'll be flying into South America from Central America in January...I want to do the three following things:
- go to the Galapogas Islands
- go the the Rio Canaval at the end of February
- do the Inca trail in April or May
I've only got 4 months and have to fly out of Santiago on the 1st of June.
So my question is, anyone suggest a good route that would allow me to do the three things above? or am I being to ambitious?
Hope someone can help
Bev x

Hello,
That was quick!
I'm coming from Central America direction so I was thinking of either flying into Ecuador mid/late January first to the Galapagos Islands but not sure if I'll have enough time to get to Brazil for the Carnival.
Alternatively I was thinking I could fly straight to Rio for the canival.
Not sure though.

Hi again!
Well Carnival 2005 is from Feb5 to Feb 8.
I'm sure if you flew from Ecuador or Peru to Rio you would make it. Overland might take a lot of time...
I'm only researching all this stuff myself, so I'm not 100% certain. But if you can afford it I would fly. That way you can definitely get to see the Galaopagos.
From Rio to Santiago you could do all overland, if you have almost 4 months!

Hello there
The carnaval party in Rio on 2006 will happen from 24/02 to 27/02.
If you really want to come, be sure to book your flight in advance and also your hotel reservations.
Rio receives more than 1 million visitors during the carnaval.
It´s a must, if you have time and money, don´t loose this chance.
