I am planning on moving to Europe this summer (pref. England) and I am curious if anyone could help with information on jobs, housing, and schools. I need to find a plcae to stay, get a job, and get back into school. No order of preference. If anyone could give advice for the best area to go or place to contact for help finding information, I would really appreciate it.
An idea of where in England, what sort of job you want and what age group is the school needed for would make it easier to offer help.
Any job available. I have serving and bussing experience in restaurants and two years management at Starbucks. I am 21 and honestly would live anywhere out there. I just want to be on that side of the Atlantic for a while.
Then it really depends whether you want a city or small town . . .a lot of young people from other countries live and work in London . . .you will need to flat share, but there are various schools and colleagues as well as lots of jobs . . . Other great cities are Edinburgh, Leeds, Brighton and Bristol . . .
Brighton is wonderful for night life, being by the see, cafe culture and friendly people. I lived there three years and it was fantastic. I would recommend you give some thought to where you want to live, and type of life you want.
Most cities have hostels you could stay in initially, this will enable you to make firneds, find your feet and really get to know the area. You will need to join your local youth hostelling association, since most hostels over here are YHA.
