Hi all,
Have you ever felt that life is crap and passing you by? I have worked away from home for 7 years and have just recently returned to my home area, unfortunately all my old friends have moved on and have lives and families of their own, I have been single since my fiancee walked out on me in April, and my job is well paid but boring! I have thought about emigrating but most contries require a skilled trade and I don't have one. So my only other option is to do a working holiday while I'm young enough (I'm 27). has anyone got any ideas of how I can get out of this boring rutt that I am stuck in and any advice on how I can start living my like to the full again, after all we only live once! which countries would be best to go to, etc, etc!! Cheers

Kelly

Hi
I would make plans for a move directly after Christmas day and be somewhere either Central/South America or Asia/India for New Years Night.
1)Start off Cancun,(Mex) and travel by bus through 7 countries to Panama.
You would after 2-3 days forget the world ever existed and if you stayed in hostels in Central America you would meet lots of friendly Travellers on the road, you still meet them staying in basic hotels.
2)Fly to Bangkok or "Delhi" for New Years night and and travel by bus around these unforgetable places with lovely weather and friendly people and the same as above after a while you forget the world ever existed only whats in your Lonely Planet guide book for the next stop.
From now until Christmas do a TEFL course here in blighty and stop anywhere on your travels and test your knowledge, its very well paid in Taiwan and China!!!!!
But maybe enjoy your travels first and come back a NEW PERSON knowing theirs better things to do than looking in the mirror and saying I WISH, as anyone can do it!!! I wish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just up and leave it! Have maybe a vague idea of where you want to go, but that`s it. See what happens and go with the flow. And if you apply for a working visa in about a year`s time, you have time for a year travel, live there for a year, another year travel and then another working visa somewhere else right at the end before you get "old"...

Oh boy, I think we all hit that stage, where we think...is this it. I am thinking of going to america, north and south for about a year next year, leaving either in July or Jan. Jan looks appealling at the moment. Use what you have, don't sit around hoping for it to change, only you can make it change. You will meet the most amazing people, and find out what life is really about.

I can definitely see what you are saying man. I'm only 22 but I felt the same. I just got up and left (well I worked for 6 months first) and went to Laos, Vietnam, Thailand - you name it - see -snip- for my travels. Post a comment and I'll get back to you. I'd recommend Laos more than anything.
