Quick silly question...are US dollars widely accepted in Canada?

Yes, in some places - especially downtown (although not everywhere). But I'd exchange them once you're here, if I were you. You'll never get a decent exchange rate at restaurants and shops.

Thanks Tina...that is actually good to know especially since I wasnt planning on exchanging any money ;).

I have to admit...even though I have been "out of the loop" lately because of this work stuff someone told me I have to do to make a living, I am soooooo excited to finally meet most of you. If there is something I truly truly enjoy is meeting new people, especially the very nice, welcoming, funny, genuine crowd of TP. You guys are the best! The one person I really wish could be there is Eve , can wait to meet her someday...

Great to see such a well oiled plan! Hannibal from the A-Team would be proud :)

Anyway, my accommodation just got confirmed. Both Pete and me will be staying at La Presidence (how posh does that sound!) on 505 Sherbrooke St. East. It's close to the Sherbrooke metro station and by my calculations it shouldn't be too far from where the rest are (not more than a km at least) so walkable distance.

Looking forward to it!!!

Thanks for the hard work Isa, really looking forward to it! I shall see you all there Friday, as I arrive around 4 pm. Peace

Include Tina in the thanks part - she's been really helpful and I couldn't have done anything without her input!!!! And all I've done is spend the last week entertaining other TPers - or should I say - they were entertaining us!!! ;)

Sam - my mistake - we'll be arriving at 3pm on Thursday. (Read the return flight info - see a blonde day!) We'll take care of "that thing" and a bit of dinner, then plan to be in the bar (if the Best Western Europa has a bar...) about the time you would get there. I still don't want to be Mr. T!!

I can't make it Thursday night (taking my Mom out for Mother's Day - long story), but if you need some suggestions on what to do, ask away!

Oh yes, silly me! Tina, thank YOU very much for all the suggestions . Without you telling us where to go, we would be running around like chickens without a head.
