No, i'm not diving into the mirky waters of generalisations:

Has anyone seen Deuce Bigalow 2 European Gigolo, if you haven't then you won't have a clue what i'm on about. If you have seen it, what do you think it's done for the image of Canadian backpackers??

I haven't seen it, but now for sure I have to. I thought the first one was very funny, and anything that makes fun of Canadians is usually alright in my book. The more they mock us, the less seriously they take us, the greater the element of the surprise when we launch the "super-secret-take-over-the-Western-Hemisphere" attack.

Canadian Bacon (1994)
John Candy, Dan Aykroyd, Rhea Perlman
Directed by Michael Moore

SYNOPSIS

In this wacky satire on the cold war mentality, the president of the United States and an arms manufacturer find it in their best economic interests to plant rumors of a potential nuclear attack--by Canada. Then, following a border incident at a hockey tournament, a patriotic sheriff and his deputies plan a counteroffensive...with hilarious results. Directed by activist-writer-television mogul Michael Moore, CANADIAN BACON combines the talents of John Candy and Dan Aykroyd with such actors and comedians as Steven Wright, Rip Torn, and James Belushi. The film is reminiscent of the terrific Peter Sellers vehicle THE MOUSE THAT ROARED, which dealt with the Duchy of Grand Fenwick declaring war on the United States in order to lose and receive millions in reparations.

Aye aye, Cap'n, topsails and mainsails.....

Beerman calls in the Re-PUB-lican Guard and their footsoldiers...the Buds.....take over. The Millers join in the march to the Northern Frontier (soon to be the Southern border of the 52nd - 59th states of these here United States of Ours).

BTW, all Canucki hockey players will be required to report to detention rinks in Minnesota, don'cha know, after the 5 minute war is done. That is all.
