Hi - I am planning to travel around Australia at the end of the year. I want to go around by bus - I have heard of the Oz Experience buses. Just asking, does anyone else know of any bus companies similar to Experience that go around Australia, as when I was in NZ I noticed they had a few different companies.

Thanks!

The last time I was in Australia I went from Melbourne to Adelaide with a company called Wildlife Tours and that was an excellent trip. Went along the Great Ocean Road and also to the Grampians, so if you're going from Melbourne to Adelaide at some point then I'd defnitely recommend you do a tour rather than just catch the bus.

I also went on a day trip to Philip Island with Wildlife Tours and that was a totally class day. The main point of the trip was to see the penguin parade, but there were loads of free extras like a trip to Ramsey Street, a trip to the Dandenong foret range to feed parrots, and a trip to a koala sanctuary.

Has anyone travelled through Australia on bus with McCaffertys/ Greyhound? If so - how is it? and how much do you get to see?

Thanks
Nada

I've just done a tour from Sydney to Melbourne as well with Autopia Tours and that was really good. Only eleven people on the tour which is ideal if you prefer smaller groups. Saw quite a bit as well - Canberra, Katoomba, Three Sisters, Mt.Kosciusko, Ned Kelly Museum, Hydro Electric Project and free wine tasting at a winery.
