I am traveling to Thailand in late June to mid-July, with my teen who will want to live in the pool or on the beach, and my husband, who will want to sit or lay with cool drinks and sleep (while pretending he is reading a book), and I will want to walk about and sightsee where ever we are - suffice it to say, we won't be happy with a bunch of rain. I'm seriously considering Hua Hin (instead of Phuket) Also, a friend mentioned Krabi - but I've not seen much about Krabi mentioned - what do y'all think?

hiya,

I went to Thailand last summer in late june till late july and the weather was fantastic! The rain really wasn't even an issue. I took all my wet weather gear and had my poncho at the ready but hardly ever had to use it - and in fact threw it away half way through! I seem to remember it raining through the night rather than during the day, and while i was in the south it didn't rain at all! Maybe i was just very lucky - but i wouldn't let the rain put you off.

Thanks for your reply and advice. We'll pack the poncho's and enjoy the beach!
