Hello there

I´m Nina, 33 yo journalist living in São Paulo, Brazil.

Brazil is amazing, specially if you have money to know other cities like Salvador, Natal, Recife and Fortaleza.

You have to know Rio, but think about these other places.

If you need some help finding places to stay, guides, what to do or where to go, let me know.

Good luck.

P.S. Don´t forget to bring a brazilian guide in you own language and a good dictionary.

Some of us can understand spanish if you speak very slowly, but we speak portuguese here. Its common to foreigners to think that we also speak spanish because we are in latin america in their first visit.

Be very careful here, specially in Rio. Don´t go to the beach wearing jewel, watches and fancy sport shoes, this is an invitation to be stolen. Carry money enough to buy something to drink or to eat and never, never expose your camera, unless you are taking pictures.

It isn´t dangerous, but you don´t have to take risks.

You are going to love Brazil, trust me.

thank you for your advices Nina!
I will probably visit (the south of) brazil in october.
Do you advice any nice places to go to in the south?

And at what medium are you working for? I am a Dutch journalist myself, so just wondering! (just received my Master's and now i am going to travel before I'll start my journalistic career)
