hiya, about to set off on my 1st big trip. just wondering if its expensive to send things home by airmail, presents and so on, epecially from australia?? need some help!! thanks

A quick one I checked was $38.50 for up to 20 kg. Of course, when there's no rush, seamail would do the trick and is consequently a fair bit cheaper.

hmm.. just noticed you wanted Airmail prices -- cheapest in that category was $62.50. These are Australian dollars by the way.

Hey Redknight,

You might also want to check out the usual backpacker mags you find in any hostel down under (TNT, The Word etc.). There are a few companies that specialize in discount package rates for backpackers. I am not quite sure whether they have really good rates for airmail but they are considerably cheaper when it comes to packages and so on and you have the time to wait till it gets home (like excessive clothes that don't fit in your backpack anymore after a few months :) ).
