I don't know many Swedes but spent a very enjoyable night in the company of a female Swedish backpacker in Australia in 2001. Can't remember her name but if you are reading - thanks!

What is the first thing you think about even you hear about Sweden and Swedish people? Stockholm, Blonde hair, good looking women, well mannered, peaceful coutry, out in the sticks, Urika Johnson.

Before you had met someone from Sweden, what was your opinion about Swedish people? Didn't really have one. Never hear about them.

After you had meet people from Sweden did it change your opinion about Sweden and Swedish people? In that case how?
I had a sweidh flatmate for a few weeks at uni and she was a bit stand offish towards others i thought, maybe a bit shy, i don't know. Not a problem though :)

How do Swedish people act when they visit your country? Polite. No issues. They enjoy themselves..

Do you think Swedish people act different from the people in your country in that case what are they doing differently? We have slighty different cultures, they may think they are a bit superior, but in a way that doesn't offend anyone.

attractive people, skiing, snowboarding, winter, Stockholme. Swedish bikini team

Before you had met someone from Sweden, what was your opinion about Swedish people?
attractive, blonde hair, blue eyes...that's it really. in america we really don't hear about sweden too much. Our foreign news is limited to the middle-east. One of my favorite bands is from there though. In Flames

After you had meet people from Sweden did it change your opinion about Sweden and Swedish people? In that case how?
aw yeah, I met heaps of them travelling in australia, for the most part they are all awesome and nice. And most of them speak perfect english with an american accent which is nice to hear, I mean most Europeans learn British English. That was really surprising. there were so many times I would ask somebody, "are you American or Canadian?" and they would answer, "I'm Swedish..." So in that sense I think it's awesome that so many people there seem to have learned a second language so well that I actually thought that they were american! I mean I know people here, that have lived in america for most of their lives.... and they don't even speak english that well!

Also I learned that they are not all blonde haired, and blue eyed, but still, they are all pretty much really attractive. Which kind of seems almost unfair.

I've never met a Swedish person in America. At least I don't think I have, maybe I have and just thought they were American.

Do you think Swedish people act different from the people in your country in that case what are they doing differently?
No, as I said before I met a lot of Swedish people and actually thought they were American, because they spoke pretty much perfect English with an American accent. But honestly, I can't say the Swedish people I've met are good representatives of the Swedish people as a whole, maybe they are. but because they were travelers, they are already interested in and respectful of other countries cultures, and that kind of separates them from the people that don't travel from their country. That seems to be true for anybody regardless of what country they come from. So I can't say I know the Swedish people too well

And I know this because I'm Swedish, I live here and my friend's named that.
