How easy is it to pick up casual work when travelling across europe? I dont really speak any other language apart from pigeon french and spanish. Is there a living to be made out there whilst on the road or is it hardly worth the hassle for all the pay you would recieve?

Hi Ryan,

This is something I wonder about as well. When I look at my less than desirable travel fund, I keep telling myself that I'll pick work up along the way while travelling, and everything will be fine.

At least you dont have to worry about a VISA if you're in Europe

A lot of travellers seem to pick up work in hostels and bars because it suits their nature of their lifestyles, i.e. they can up and go without much notice, but if you're planning on staying somewhere for longer than just a few weeks, then it should be easy enough to get work. Call centres are a great source for jobs in a lot of countries....

Depends on how flexible your travel plans are I suppose. ;)

I've been thinking about that too. How feasible is it to work while on a study visa? I'm planning to hit Italy sometime next year and a part-time job would be helpful to ease the expenses.

(sorry for OT question, RyanC! )
