Travel Forums Europe lesbian friendly accommodation in Freiburg

Hi there,

I and my partner are travelling to Freiburg, Germany, for a weekend in October. We have been searching online, but have not managed to find a lesbian-friendly accommodation. We don't wish to be seperatist ;) we are just worried about the (admittedly rare) possibility of funny looks when checking into our double room.

Does anyone know of anywhere good down there?
And are there any good nightspots?

Also, what should we do from a touristy point of view? Recommendations from those who have been before are gratefully received.

Thanks,
Becci

I dont think you will have any issues. There are a lot of women traveling together sharing rooms to reduce the travel cost so it isn't an unusual request. I traveled to Europe with a good friend (girl) in 2000 and we always shared a room and a bed (and we are not gay). I have been to Freiberg too. It has great vineyards, I am pretty sure they are known for that. It is a relatively small town but I wouldnt think the type of place where you would get "the looks" either.

Anne is right, Freiburg is a pretty small but relaxed town and I would be suprised if you would have any problems with finding a hostel/room. Have fun in Germany!
