Hi there -
I'm a single woman heading to Toronto, Canada for 1 month. Does anybody know anything about The Residence College Hotel on Gerard street in Toronto? All of the ads I've seen for it are generic and none tell if its clean or safe. Could someone give me their personal experience?

i.e. did the sheets have bedbugs, safe, etc, etc...

This will be so helpful since I'll be travelling alone. My main concern is cleanliness and safety..Cleanliness first, I can handle the safety. Thanx for any input!!

Jess

Have a good time in the Tditty.

Yeah, it is relativly clean, buliding was built in the 70s and is the generic condo of the times, kinda drab. Its not the Sutton Place clean, but as far as histelling goes you should not be bothered. no bedbugs
Gerrard is a seedy street, not dangerous though. It is right downtown, more central doesnt really exist and you are close to many neighborhoods within walking distance. Toronto is kinda the oppositre of most US cities. The central downtown core, which is alot of business/financial district, lakefront, many immigrant neighborhoods, University and Civic buildings etc is actully totally safe, where as the immediate suburbs and bordering neighborhoods are where the most dangerous places are, huge rise in gang activity this year has become ridiculous.
