Hi
At some point when I'm away in the next 6 months or so, I will need to get my blood tested - a routine thing I have to do.

Can anyone recommend the safest and best place to do this in SE Asia, I will be in India til March then after that travelling from Vietnam down to Singapore.

Thanks.

Thailand is easy and cheap - I imagine same in the other countries.

Hi
I have travelled Asia and India and have had teeth out, replaced fillings and blood tests for MEN things and all I have done is took advice from tourist office or my hotel recepton and went and had a look FIRST to check out "is it clean"!!!! and being a tight Ulsterman; how much!!!,I suspect Singapore will be really clean.
Also depending on what guide book you are carrying as Lonely Planet South East Asia/India give location of reccomended clinics in all major cities in South East Asia and India and these are listed under Information in the Capitol City sections of any particular country chapter.
You might try links, destinations at top of this page and check out the various threads or www.lonelyplanet.com
I loved India as what an experience, have a great trip and enjoy your travels.

I am pretty sure that throughout your travels you would be able to find a clean hospital in South East Asia...

:)

If you arrived in Singapore, you can proceed to A&E at the nearest hospital. Singapore General Hospital or Tan Tock Seng Hospital. Both are centrally located.

Do provide your infomation and papers. Don't forget to enquire for price. :) I'm sure if your diagnosis is important, your result will be given asap...

Due to outbreak of Bird Flu around the regions and Dengue Fever sorta thing.... they may also need declarations...

I guess for somewhere else, you may just have to be cautious and to observe correct protocol and hygiene practices. :) Capital cities are usually recommended.

As they say, do check out lonelyplanet books..

Check this link:

These are all decent nursing private clinics and decent medical centers all over the world. Its actually Dutch but you should click on "selecteer een land" (choose a country) and you find the adresses.

I used this private clinic in New-Delhi called east-west medical centre.....it was really the best, all western-standard or better.
