Welcome to the site! I'm also interested in the errors. I've noticed a few problems that hadn't surfaced before, possibly to do with our server move and upgrade - who knows though
Shame you weren't around earlier. I just visited Paris two weeks ago and would have been interested in some of your tips!
Oh well, all the best - hope to see you around more.
haha... pity.. i would have loved to help you out with paris, but then, i wasnt here then.. oh well, perhaps next time, when the wind blows that way again
as to the errors, i don't know if you're on a nix or wins based but it seemed its gotta do with the scripting. even without the "forbidden" slugs, if i may say so, i kept on getting errors. i wanted to do a cut+paste, but i'd already would have forgotten what i'd wanted to say earlier, you know how geeks are
but i will, should it happen again, just plonk the errors and either pm it to you, or plonk it in the system forums.
this forum is so similar to mambo's bbs, and its neat too. have you tried the mambo cms? it would be good for your type of site
Hi all!! My name is Zach, but you can call me deportfred. I am 23 years old and from the USA. I currently reside in Pohang, South Korea and have taken a job teaching English to kids. I have loved to travel ever since I was a kid, and have visited all of North America, parts of Europe and am currently riding on a bit of an Asian fetish.
Just love to travel...
Hi Deportfred and welcome to Travellerspoint!
For someone who is 23, it certainly sounds like you have been around! On a more personal note; can I ask you how South Koreans feel about Americans? I know they love the dutch after Guus Hiddink lifted their team to countless victories in WC 02.... but given the current world situation I thought this might be an intersting topic; might take the time to post something on this in our Off topic forum...
Anyway, travellers like yourself are always welcome here!
ps. Just heard today that another two people who hadn't talked or been in contact for years found each other through our site.... it makes me really happy to hear things like this so please let me know if it happens to you....
Hello everyone, I'm from Minnesota (oh really), in the very north and central of the United States. I'm 46, have lived in Minnesota my whole life. I'm an avid armchair traveler, so I'm soaking up this site like a sponge!
Actual travels include western Europe and the United States. If anyone wants info on Minnesota, North Dakota, or Wisconsin (do people from foreign countries ever come here? ), give me a holler.
Hi Minnesota and welcome to Travellerspoint!
Good to have you aboard. At the moment I am exactly like you; an avid armchair traveller. Often the researching and sharing is half the fun of travelling, though right
I might head over to Minnesota next year for a wedding of a friend of mine...is there anything to see around there besides friends?
Minnesota is full of natural beauty (the state, haha!). One of the Great Lakes, Lake Superior, is on our northern shores. Hardwood forests (elm, maple, oak) are prevalent, especially as you travel north. The Boundary Waters Canoe area is mostly motor-free (but not mosquito free!), so visitors can hike, backpack, and camp in total wilderness.
As you travel west, the land flattens out into wheat and soybean farms. You can see a tornado approaching from 15 miles away. The northern lights are beautiful in the fall.
Camping, skiing, boating, fishing, canoeing, and winter sports such as cross-country skiing, skating, ice fishing, and snowmobiling are very popular.
The Twin Cities (Minneapolis-St. Paul and suburbs) are thriving, with lots of ethnic restaurants, the Guthrie Theater, art galleries, outdoor festivals, and urban lakes for swimming, sailing, and fishing. Hope you decide to visit us, Sam!
26 yr old gal. Lived in some fantastic countries.. brought up in Solomon Island and Micronesia. Then onto Nepal, Mauritius, Bhutan, St'Lucia and finally the beautiful island of Bali. Have also travelled to some beautiful countries. Although Ive never travelled on my tod. So this Sept Im ready to embark on new adventures and challenges and live my life as if i have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Let the winds of change blow where they will. I dont know where Im going to end up but i reckon Im gonna like it.
Would love to meet anyone in the same boat or anyone who's interesting enough to get to know!
Maybe we can hook up along the way.
PS.. DONT YOU JUST LOVE THIS SILLY LITTLE FACES! HA
Secondly, the Solomons and Micronesia....you have to be kidding. It is not every day I come across folks who grew up in the Solomons as well. My brother Pete and I spent the first 12 years of our lives there; where did you live, in what years, did we know each other, what did you do there???? Although I never spent any time in Micronesia, my folks lived there for another three years or so as well. In fact they are heading back that way later this year....
Anyway, to make a long story short; welcome and I would like to hear more about your story (I already checked your profile but want to hear MORE ).
ps. sounds like you made a smart choice... plenty of members here that are either out on the road, planning a trip or just returned and just don't want to let go of that good ol' feeling!
Im Redmer 20yo, from the cheesy country, Holland
