good day all!
i am pretty new to this site, but it's really a good place to read about so many people's experiences and also being able to share whatever little that i know with others! my passion for travelling just keeps growing at every place that i visit, and i look forward to meeting new faces travelling like myself for future backpacking trips! unfortunately, i'm only a student and as for now i can only afford to see the places in Southeast Asia, but hopefully someday i'll be able to go beyond and explore the rest of the world!
Amelia, welcome aboard! It's never late for anyone to start travelling!
But the thing is: you can contribute your comments on any thread in this forum! Hope to see you around.

Welcome to TP....Keep the travel fire in you growing... and take this little advice:
Travel spins us round in two ways at once: It shows us the sights and values and issues that we might ordinarily ignore; it also, and more deeply, shows us all the parts of ourselves that might otherwise grow rusty. For in traveling to a truly foreign place, we inevitably travel to moods and states of mind and hidden inward passages that we'd otherwise seldom have cause to visit.dana
Hi hello dana.Welcome to travellers point.Nice to know you .
You are welcome....pleased to know you. And I feel terrible about the Delhi incident. Just out of curiosity, which will have bigger (negative impact) on tourism ? such terrorists bombings or the Avian bird flu ?
Keep smiling !
thanks so much for the warm welcome, and yes dana thanks too for those words of advice! How true it is, and i hope my fire will never die for travelling too.
Hmm, i think the bird flu hasn't really hit tourism that excessively, has it? I still see alot of travellers in South-east Asia, especially Vietnam. I reckon the terrorist bombings would be a bigger threat, cause the effects are more immediate and prominent. Besides, they can hide the number of deaths caused by bird flu, but it's hard to cover up the effects of terrorism. Just my point of view!
