Hi
Has anyone any experience of the Karrimor Global 70-90? I am off to India and am thinking of this sack or one from Macpac the Gemini or Orient Express.
Thanks
Phil

Nah, not familiar with the KG 70-90. However, one of my going away presents from pals at work last year was an OSPREY Transporter 90 and I must say this is the best rucksack I could imagine. It is perfect in every way. It opens like a hockey bag but totally sits on the back like a huge climbing sack and can also be formed in to a duffel bag. Cant say enough good things about my sack.
it IS a nice sack! ...and i have seen many sacks in my time.
I tender to prefer the loose shabby type myself. With a bit of girth around the left hand edge!

There is a shop in Bacolod in the Philippines that buys and sells bags etc and there is a big sign outside it that says "We Will Buy Your Empty Sacks", which made me giggle ![]()

I dont know about the Global but I bought my Karrimore Cordiale 70 back in 1989. Its been absolutely everywhere with me, from city breaks to a year in Africa. It has been treated with no respect whatsoever and much as I would like to buy a new fancy one with lots of pockets, the damn thing just will not die. I now consider it my good luck charm when I travel.
So, if it is quality and durability you are after, I cannot recommend Karrimore enough! ![]()
Karrimor rucksacks are very durable, we have 65l panther Karrimors but it is far more important how they feel on your back.
Before you make the decision go to a shop that sells them and get a shop assistant to fit one to you...you might find it feels really uncomfortable on, remember you are going to have to carry it for quite a while, so make sure you are as comfortable as possible!
