Hi Ev,

I've just sent you a link by PM for you to send large files by e-mail. Mr Blue by ELO is fab! it's on Marks and Spencer ads in the UK at the moment, drives my boyfriend mad when it comes on as I then sing it all night!

I was thinking along the same lines last night when I was listening to Peter Gabriel's Salsbury Hill(sp?)...What song(s) do this for you? Very Curious.

I have a few of those. Africa by Toto, Down Under by Men at Work, American Girl by Tom Petty... I've found that if I actually buy the CD and listen to one of those songs too many times, though, it loses it's magical pull. There's something special about just hearing it now and then out of the blue and singing along in the grocery store.

That song reminds me of this absolute stunner I went out with in my teens. The thing was, she had shocking breath

I was thinking along the same lines last night when I was listening to Peter Gabriel's Salsbury Hill(sp?). I was reading before going to bed and I had this urge to get up and post and see what songs take people away. Every time I hear that song I swear that I am no longer of this earth but somewhere in the picture that he has created in my mind's eye.

What song(s) do this for you? Very Curious.

Pretty much any Steely Dan song. I know 99% of them by heart so even when the Musak version comes on in the grocery store - I start singing (quietly).

I'm probably one of a small handful of people who can not listen to ELO for longer than one song. And I can only name about four of Gabriel's that I can listen to easily. He makes me very depressed!! A complete CD and I'm ready to slash my wrists. (I still sing along - but then, I sing along to everything - good, bad or really awful. I'm not saying Gabriel is awful - he's not - just not my fav.)

I have done that with Tom Petty's Wildflowers and The Last DJ, and Patti Smith's Easter. I had to put them on the shelf for awhile. Now I'm trying to use restraint since I have "rediscovered" them again...

Yeah, the live version of 'In Your Eyes'. DO NOT LISTEN to while in the vicinity of sharp objects. I don't care who you are - it'll bring a tear to your eye.
