So, I'm in Paris and I want to get back home to the U.S. One-way tickets are more expensive than round trip for some reason, so I imagine I'll buy a round trip. But here's my question-
A number of discount airlines book flights only originating in the U.S. Could I book a round trip from the U.S. and only use the return half? Or would the return half not be valid anymore of I wasn't on the outbound flight.
Kind of silly, I know, but just trying to get the best deal!
not flying the first leg of your journey would invalidate the second part.
there are budget airlines to the usa from ireland - for all the airlines see airninja.com
You can also try Zoom Airlines. They fly from Paris to a few cities across Canada; I think it would cost you about $199 Canadian or so. Then you could hopefully get a cheap flight home from there. It's worth a look!
Thank you SO MUCH, I've just booked my flight and I'm THRILLED with the money I've saved.
Great! Who did you end up booking with, and what's your itinerary like? I'm curious...
