Hi Marilyn!

I can give you help but need to know a bit more information:

1) What size is your dog?
2) What are your tentative travel plans - destinations?
3) Are the vaccinations (rabies, distemper, parvo, etc.) up-to-date?

Different airlines have different regulations about pet travel. Some airlines will allow a small dog in the cabin but others won't. They also require certain sized carriers of a specific design. You will also need certain documents from your veterinarian verifying your dog's health and vaccination schedule. Certain airlines have a specific timetable to work within regarding vaccinations. Long distance flights will be the most regulated too.

Any info you can provide here will help decide the ease in which you can travel with your pet. There have been other threads about traveling with pets, but they have been related to cats. Though some of the regulations are the same, not all. So, please let me know and I will help you with your travel plans. If you prefer - you can send me a PM instead.

Check this link, would be helpful:

I've never traveled by air with my dog, but she had came with me for more than 10,000 km. the last three years, always by land.

The last weekend was the first time we gone together out of the country to Argentina and the paperwork was a lot less difficult than I tought.
