New york and LA for under 21's.
Hi iv just started plannin my solo RTW trip. And I wanna visit NYC then LA before going to fiji and beyond... : )
I was wandering though if the US is 'under 21 freindly'I know alcohol is a no go but is the much night life for a person not yet 21?
NYC is tough under 21, you will find places to go but it won't be as good. I would come with a fake ID if you can or try to sweet talk the guys at the door...
If NEw york bouncers are anything like British ones, Lads giving them sweet talk would not be a good idea!! lol
You may wanna check out the link below for nightlife options for people under-21 in New York:
Hope this helps.
Besides New York, you should be able to get into the nightclubs in Boston (most of them) but expect to pay a cover charge of about $10-$15 to get in. Hope this helps.
Under 21 is hard in LA without a fake ID- but there are some clubs that are 18 and over that might be fun. Some bouncers will take cash passed to them if you have a good fake, or wear a hot outfit!
It totally depends on where u go, the first year round, the people i were with were all from the US and all had fake IDS yet I was the only one legally old enough with a legitimate id...my passport... and It was totally scrutinised!!!!However some places were very laid back and didnt check!I just recently got back from New York again after being there 3 months and in that time for alcohol only got asked once!!!I got asked more for ID when buying cigarettes!!!!So it depends on the bars you choose!clubs, its kind of a pre requisite, no id your not getting in kid of thing!I know some places offer an over 18 policy where if you can prove you are 18 you get a special stamp which means you can go in but not drink so that would be worth looking into! But maybe its worth being a bit brazen and just doing the old rummaging through the bag routine pretending you have forgotton it!LA I found a lot stricter than NY!!!Have fun!!!
where can i get a fake id in nyc?
I think your British accent should help you out a lot.
If not...there's plenty to do in NYC other than the bars/clubs.
