Hi

Im going to be in Katmandu after finishing an Everest base camp trek and am going to have to make my way back to Delhi to catch a connecting flight to Singapore. What is the best way to do this and roughly how long would it take?

Hi
Your best option is take a bus and depending on your time scale its best to do the journey in stages!!!
Direct bus from Katmandu to Delhi takes appox 36hrs and 600-1000 rupees.
Split your journey and maybe go to Lucknow for a day.
Or take a bus to Gorakhpur and then catch a train for a bit of luxury which is appox 36hrs.
You can also fly from Gorakhpur and Lucknow to Delhi.
Change your ticket from Singapore to Delhi and spend more time in India!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Enjoy your trip and hope everything goes well.

Direct flights are available from Kathmandu to Delhi, if you are short of time. But if you want to enjoy the Indian trip and have time, just take the bus. It will take you through the Himalayan country and the rural India. Though the journey is bit tough as mostly the roads are not so good but thats you can compromise on what you are getting in lieu. The first hand experience of the Indian countryside. Take out some more time for India.

Don't eat to much on the way up from Nepali border (Sunauli) to Kathmandu/Pokhara........man I was sick (luckily I was able to keep it inside, but many others were not that lucky)
