That was extremely helpful Isadora! Thank you very much. Now all I need to do is get a physician. I am without health insurance, so I have a feeling all this will be very expensive. But i'd rather spend a few bucks, then get Montezumas revenge while flirting with a cute Vietnamese villager.

I'll do a bit of "investigation" to see if there are clinics in your area that do "cheap" vaccinations. Please send me a PM with your location. I am in Illinois. I know that our Chloroquine tablets were cheap - but our Hep A&B were about $50/injection.

Oh, forgot to mention Chloroquine as a possible anti-malarial. Sorry! But, it is recommended for Central and South America more than for SE Asia. I would still choose the Doxycycline or Malarone for your destinations.

Can you imagine that there are people who don't take any vaccinations whatsoever??? Be intelligent and don't take risks, well done

Glad I could be of service. As always, there are two sides to each situation. When it comes to your health - better to be informed than just hope for the best. But, why take jabs you don't need.

Ahh, much time has passed since I posted this thread, and it did answer most of my questions at the time, but..

I am wondering, besides the vaccines that Isa mentioned, the Govt. suggested to have other typical vaccines such as:

Tetnus, Influenza, pneumococcal, and, MMR.

Do you guys think these 4 are necessary also? I probably have had a few when I was born, and I vaguely remember a few when I was in my early teens. Should I roll all of these into my list of pleasant stabbings? Thanks guys.
