Me and my girl, was i Budapest this weekend. And saturday we went to royal palace club. We cald them one the phone, and they sent a cab for us. Came in and was greeted by the staff, that showed us menue where there was info about the club. It said that u had 2 drink for a minimum of 10 000HUF/40euro. That said we had a meal there and the food was excelent, and drank quite a lot. The prices on food and drinks in the club is a litle more expensiv then rest of buda, but what can u expect? u have great food and nud dancing We also had a lapdance and a lesbi show, bout was great, and costed 40 euro.....i will recommend this place...all prices was upfront and the girls was hot
That is a God awful thing, to happen.
Thanks for the warning.
Dont worry, Budapest is a lovely place. I was there a couple of times and would certaily go back. It is just that quite a lot of scamming, such as what is mentioned, in these posts, goes on.
U can stay in a hostel, if u are on a budget. Most cafes and restaurants are ok and also decently priced.
what are you complaining about?
why do you go to this places at all?
what do you expect there?
there is for sure nothing more you could see in your city, but you dont go there because you know or heard about how expensiv it could be.
for sure there are solid Night clubs, not all of them are tourist traps, but beware of taxi drivers, they get provision from this establishments.
Business is business, and for sure this typ is still the oldest of the world...
hopefully this is only one time in your life...
Budapest is a beautyfull City, has fantastic Restaurants with excellent food and good music.
ok,I was there 25 years ago,but I think there are things the never change,it is up to you what you make out of it,what you expect of a place.
take care, keep your eyes open, use your commen sense and it should be fine.
Me and my buddy went to a strip club and you had to pay a shitload to get in and if you wanted the girls to dance you had to buy a drink which was like 20 euro a peice.
Las Vegas entertainment industry should invest in these ex-commie countries. Show the customers a good time and wipe clean their cheap scams!
I can understand also you pay it. For me the same in Beijing, i paid for 6 very little cups of tea a total 50 euro's. A major trip-off.
This kind of shit only has the benefit that you learn from it.
Budapest is a great place but I have to say I was there almost all day but not in night clubs so that is different, better to ask in advance or check the forums here... but of course Budapest is a great place to visit!
I went to Budapest for a few days during an inter-railing trip around Eastern Europe - I have nothing but good things to say about it! Stayed in a very nice hostel called Hostel Atlantis for about 11 euro a night - it was in the centre of Pest and near the Metro line...there's another hostel called "Bling-Bling" I think and it's owned by the same company so it should be nice.
The boat trip along the Danube is lovely and Margarite Island is a really nice place to chill out during the day...also try check out the Szechenyi Furdo baths.
As for the night clubs, there's a really good open air nightclub called "Pardon" on the Buda side of the city...it's about 1 euro to get in and it doesn't have scams like the other clubs that were mentioned!
Hope that helps!
i found a fantastic site! Here You can find the truth about hungarian
