Its not just good reports from first time posters. I have done business with the company on several occasions since 2000. You can get great deals with them and you can also pay as much or more than you would if you went through a travel agent. Do your research and read carefuly about taxes and service charges before you bid. I have gotten flights, condo weeks and even one Kenyan safari from them and each time the price was quite a bit lower than I was able to find anywhere online or with my local travel agent. As with any company, I am sure there have been some problems, but overall they seem to do a good job. I look forward to using them again once I get back to the U.S. and have more time to be spontaneous with my travel.

I've never used SkyAuction before and have a quick question that I hope someone can answer.

Here's the scenario; you win an auction for an All-Inclusive vacation package. You supply SkyAuction with your requested Departure Dates. If they fail to meet your requested dates, what then happens?

Is there any monetary obligation to SkyAuction after their proposed dates were not accepted by auction-winner?

Thanks in advance!

Just an observation...but is it coincedence that all the praise for skyauction is from 1st time posters?
Except you vegasmike....but then you havent actually used it.

Could there be a sky auction representative in our midsts?
Excuse my cynical mind......

Yes I must say the same thought did occur to me

YES INDEED! I like to think of myself as easily detecting scams and frauds. (You got to be in this day and age or you'll be broke before you know it! People have attempted to scam me more times than I can Imagine). All those first time posts definitely are fakes WAY TO KEEP OUR COMMUNITY SAFE PEOPLE!!!

My wife and I and antoher couple just came back from 8 nights in Grand Lido Braco, in a beautiful room, all-inclusive. With all the surcharges, etc., we were about $800 under the rack-rate from the resort and about $700 under the best internet price. We did a ski trip in January in Breckenridge, CO, for 8 nights at $81 per night, ski-in, ski-out, including all fees and charges from skyauction. The quoted rate for the room with the resort was $225. This was not ljust a "room" but rather a one bedroom condominium with granite countertops, tile bath and full kithchen and living room with sofa and chairs, and very nice bedroom.

Skyauction will not charge your account if you are the winning bidder until the they confirm with the property the dates YOU specify. If they can't fill the date you want, you are not charged. What can be fairer?

Sky Auction will be my primary source for vacation accomodations. I am a lawyer, and I think I can recognize scams. This is not one.

Useful info, lawyer friend/first time poster. I never stay anywhere without granite countertops.
