I am wondering where the hottest sun destinations are in Europe? I am going to be travelling to Europe in February and am trying to find a destination where I can get sun and beach but accessible by a budget airline. I've heard of options such as Madeira however are there more options for perhaps hotter winter places in Europe?
Malta is the place to go as its very cheap and friendly and they speak English;www.maltabargains.com
From Malta its only an hour by hoovercraft to Sicly and still hot and warm and great beaches and then another hoovercraft over to Italy and still hot and warm and then another hoovercraft over to Greece and still hot and warm then!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You might never come back, send me a postcard!!
Have a great trip

Wow that sounds amazing...but are all those hoovercrafts still available during the winter in February and is it still hot down there at that time??
They think winter is putting a tee shirt on before going out and maybe wearing a pair of socks,!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!,in their summer you/me would boil alive!!!!!!!!!
Yes;the Hovercraft runs all year in nice sunshine and if you want you can travel the oppisite direction from Greece to Malta but I dont know your plans.
I'am off to Asia 28th DEC 05 for 4 months so have a great trip and enjoy your new winter tan.
I will be in Brinisi;Italy and Malta in Nov for a week so jump the plane ASP,only joking!!

Why not think about Crete. The southernmost place in Europe with more sunshine than anywhere else in Europe. Fly easyJet to Athens and then ferry to Agios Nikolaos. We'll meet you there and bunk you up for one night and you can plan your travelling over a beer. If you want to stay for a while we have a special offer in the winter of 10 GBP per night for stays of one month or more. That's per apartment - and you can get 2 people in an apartment. 5 GBP per night each!If anyone wants info on this check out www.mantraki.4t.com and give me a call.
Good cheap place in Malta is the Tropacina Hotel in Paceville which is in the centre of good nightlife area as everywhere else on the ISLAND closes down appox 2000hrs.
Great place for Histroy and bus weekly ticket is £7,jump on,jump off.
Winter!!!rates Tropacina are £6single/£9double en-suite per night including English breakie and everywhere they speakda englaterra.
al de bes and enjoy your trip
