I like Photography where something contradicts the other or melds into it like young and old, brand new and broken down. Capturing a picture of a beautiful sunset over a heavily polluted lake with shopping trolleys and rubbish bins in it. I like pictures where you see two sides to something.

to be honest.. i dont have a fixed idea on how or why i take shots.. i try to capture the uniqueness/originality of a place/event, knowing full well, that i would not be able to catch a particular shot ever again!

Im not into portraiture or human form.. but it is something im gradually getting into.
I like to take shots that give people who havent been there a sense of a place.

I experiment with my macro lens a lot too, i like to be abstract!

hmm... tough question. I think i try and take anything that catches my eye - I love it when colours are vibrant.

I also love taking photos which involves a natural play of light which gives the place/person a differnt look... And i am forever trying to take 'stich assist' fotos to recapture an atleast 180 deg feel of a place!

And ofcourse, i desparately try to give a 'different side' to the same place in the hope that my pics stand out !!!! :)

btw , Q if u are reading this thread, lovely dance pics u got!

I take pictures to keep my parents happy.
They go mad with worry if I dont ring or post up on my blog. I tend to blog more because ringing feels a bit like travelling a long way only to be within ear shot of home. Dont get me wrong, I love home and mum and dad. I just feel a bit, cheated, if I have to ring home everyday. (Not to mention, moblogging is a lot cheaper)

Hi, With the amount of photo`s you can get on a 1Gb memory card I think people should just flick away and when the cards full get your photo`s transfered to CD for home use.. Most places have shops that can do this..

In the States I use the big SuperMarkets.. They do a great job.

That was you can edit what you want when you get home and bin the photo`s that you dont like..

I take photo`s of everything that I like the look at.. see my photos here.. Everything and anything.. You`d be surprised what you have taken and the memories..

[ Edit: sorry, no promos in the forum please. ]

Nature and people faces, emotions attaract me the most..And 1 Gb is sufficient enough for one trip..or keep two memory card if you cant transfer it to your PC.

i guess we are all essentially the same... i take pics of stuff that is new to me and interesting. faces, places, buildings, animals, friends in weird exotic places etc.

i try not to be in too many but my mum always wants to see my face for some reason lol

when i go to india i am going to concentrate my shooting on people and the day to day craziness of indian life i think. although if i see a tiger i will take a pic, plus anytime something weird and exciting happens.

i forget who said it in this thread earlier, but i also love amusing signs or spelling mistakes in menus

the world is fun!

joey :)

i take photos of anything and everything.m my camera is not a dslr and not suited to the photos that i take and were i go. why a p&s is best suited to me were i can take photos on day at any time compared to a dslr.

im more interested in taking photos of landscapes, animals, people.

i personally think videoing with my p&s camera is way better than taking photos because it gives my family and friends of the real differences of been were i am and were they are.

photos can be very misleading. photos is just about capturing the moment that you see but at the same time conveys a sense of mischiefness.
