Heya!
I was just wondering if anyone can help me as i am considering going down the amazon to tabatinga and then continuing my journey either to tefe or possibly manaus. Was thinking more of tefe as think that boat would be uncomfortable and boring sometimes! however is it quite easy to get flights from tefe to either sao paolo or rio? and is it expensive? how about from manaus? would greatly appreciate any help!
Thanks,
Daniella

Flights from the Amazon (Manaus) to Rio or Sao Paulo are very expensive (about US$500). You could consider flying to Belem (about US$150) the busing it down to the Southern Brazil. That will take you three days if you make it a straight shot. When you get to Brasilia you can opt for Rio or Sao Paulo.

Or bus your way south stopping off in different cities. If you were to take this option, you should fly from Manaus to Natal and begin your bus trip there.
