I just realized that I have spent the last 3 weeks telling people that I went to the Partheon in Paris to see where all the great writers, thinkers and scientists of France were buried. Last night I was looking at my map, and I noticed that it's actually called the PANTHEON, with an N not an R. I wonder if anyone noticed, and if they did how big an idiot they thought I was...

I did a similar thing earlier in the year when I kept calling the acacia trees in Africa the acadia trees.

Everyone's talking about you Greg!

Somebody asked us not to tell Greg that we're talking about him. Now look who's talking!

I can't pronounce Donegal for the life of me. It always comes out sounding like "Donny Gal", and then I get laughed at. I also remarked in London at some point that our high school band used to play "Londonderry Air". Guess who was mighty embarassed after that!

As long as you dont make that mistake in the wrong part of Derry, you're fine!

I make heaps of mistakes when I'm travelling - the last time I was in Italy I tried out a few new phrases I'd learned and had people bursting out laughing into my face. I'll never know what it was I really said to them. Hehe.

That happened to me in Spain. I asked for "Crema CatalIna" instead of "Crema CatalAna" and the waiter laughed so hard I may as well have said "Crema Putana" or something. I still have NO idea why it was so funny.
