I have to say that even though I'm a massive music fan, when I'm out in the wilds I just want to tune in to the natural sounds

Personally I think you haven't lived until you've "walked like an egyptian" at the top of some mountain ridge. :P

Other than that, the few times I listened to music while hiking/tramping (I've done quite a bit), pretty much everything my mp3 player shuffled up was good music. 'course, the scenery might have helped. :)
