As I remember when I travelled trough India I needed encashment certificates to buy tourist quota traintickets. You will get these encashment certificates when you exchange travellercheques or cash into rupees. Now is my plan to use only paycard to get money out of ATM's which does not provide encashment certificates (only ATM slip). Does anyone know if I can also get these tourist quota traintickets backed-up by ATM slips instead of encashment certificates?

Hello,

Yes, ATM receipts work fine as proof of foreign exchange when purchsing train tickets.

Have a great trip!
