I want to travel through Africa starting from Morocco and end up in Cape Town. I have a month and want to travel solo.

Is this too ambitious?

Wow. That's a lot to go through in a month. In my opinion, I prefer to stay at a few places for a longer time. I feel like just rushing through countries is a blur of hostels and people and places. I spent two and a half months in Malawi and, while I would have liked to travel outside of Malawi a little bit, I wouldn't trade my experience for the world. Spending more time in one place is so rewarding... you get to know the locals, learn the culture, try the food, instead of just rushing through on your way to the next place.

Anyway, some people like to hit as many places as they can. Whatever floats your boat ;)

If you get to Malawi, I highly recommend Nkhata Bay and Vwaza Marsh Game Reserve. In Nkhata, there is a lodge called Kupenja Lodge. It's a non profit lodge owned by an English guy that uses the money the lodge brings in the help the mountain villagers grow gardens and start nurseries for their children. It's a great lodge with a more than decent price ($2-$3 per room per night) and the food is AMAZING. The game reserve is loaded with elephants and hippos monkeys. It can get really pricey if you don't plan to camp, but you have no fences between you and the animals. While you eat lunch, elephants walk by and poop two feet from your chalet! What's cooler than that?

Anyway, I hope this helps you out!

Well one moment is not very much!!! I don't think public transport in Africa is that fast (and what about formalities at the borders). But is sounds like a great trip. Consider to travel from Egypt to Cape town as it covers more "safe" countries. I guess you need al lot of time to survive African roads and its hassles. Take at least 6 months (at least one year is even better), I think you will get a nerves breakdown when you are in a hurry in Africa.
