Hehe. I'm not worrying yet, not going till December, but I think that is too many pairs of shoes. :P

Just take trainers and "evening" shoes. You can buy flip flops out there. :P

Hi
I am a man!!!!!!!!!right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1)you dont need heels.
2)you are backpackers and first stop Thailand so "everything" you need you can buy in Thailand for 50p when you are on the road.
3)Pack nothing only one change of clothing(shirt, cargo pants)and when you are ready to go Aussie just buy a few bits!!!.
4)wear a pair of very soft cheap sandals for the plane and have your passport, tickets in your cargo pants pocket.
Have a great enjoyable trip and enjoy your travels.

in Bangkok, go to the Siam Centre. you can buy really nice high heels / dress shoes there for 300 baht / 5 pounds.

I'm a girl, and I think that is way too many shoes!

-Drop the heels, definately.
-Comfy casual shoes? Aren't they trainers?
-Mule style day shoes? Are you joking? You'll probably just live in the sandles or trainers.

Remember, you'll have to carry these around, and shoes generally aren't light. Worst case, can't you buy shoes out there?

I would love to bring loads of shoes with me too, but its just not worth the hassle. Go on, be strong! :)

Congratulations! That will be a great time in Down Under, Thailand and New Zealand!
If you want to exercise, just take one pair of sneakers with you and go running in the countryside! It's cheap and you have more space for other useful things! ;)
Yep, way too many pair of shoes. One pair of sneakers for walking, one pair of flip flops, one pair of nice shoes (for the evening) would be fine as well and if you need to exercise extra (if you walk a lot and discover the area, you exercise as well, don't you!???) take another pair of running shoes with you!
But always consider that shoes are very heavy, take a lot of space in your luggage AND you can always buy shoes in Thailand, Australia, New Zealand and Singapore....

Anyway, enjoy your trip! It's going to be awesome!

I'm a shoe lover too and am off for a year in Jan-around se asia and oz.

Being ruthless and taking a pair of trainers, birkenstock style flops and a flimsy black pair of flops

Good luck!
