Hi there, just been screwed over by my friends who i was meant to be travelling with around China. They've decided no to go so i'm off on a solo tour around the north! I'm heading to Xi'an next Sunday and then on to Harbin to see the winter ice festival and then to Beijing to see the great wall and see in the chinese new year if you're interested in any of this leat me know, i'd love company.
I am reaching hongkong on the 14th i am not sure if to do china or not as i am alone, if anybody is going to china in the same week then let me know may be we can hook up and travel together i am sure it will be hard to find backpackers in china
Hi, I live and study in Beijing since 4 months ago. I plan to travel around the 20th of january to Kunming in Yunnan, and from there go immediately to Dali, look around, then Lijiang for some time, then maybe Tiger Leaping Gorge; then on north, to Sichuan Province, visit Emei Shan and/or Leshan giant buddha; then to Shanxi, where my main objective is Pingyao town, but if time and money allow, visit other places too... and finally back to beijing again... three weeks i think, unless something makes me change plans.
As others have said, i was also left alone with my travel plan, so if anyone is going the same way or will be travelling any of these parts, i would be glad to meet you. I travel on low budget (no luxury hotels or restaurants, no taxi unless emergencies, etc.), like trekking and like meeting the local people.
I'm Juan Cristobal (or Chris, for english speakers)
