I have a week off work at the end of December and I do not really where to go... There are so many places, but money is a matter for me. Anyone has suggestions or ideas for me?

I have found a great deal with easyjet from MAdrid to Basel in Switzerland, but I am not really sure if that's a good idea in Winter...

Anyway. Any suggestions would be very welcome. Ideas pleaseeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!

Thanks!!!!!!

We are going to be over there this year for xmas, I am from Australia but my friend is living in the UK - she seemed to think that Austria was the best option for snow, skiing and at a reasonable price. I think we are staying in Bad Gastein.

Hope this helps! :)

You could always travel down here to the South of Spain haha. It will be warmer than many places and will be very cheap to get here lol.

Hi Yolanda,

I have been to Basel for a weekend in September last year and it is a really nice, but a fairly small town (a bit like San Sebastian without the ocean and Tapa bars ;)). Therefore I couldn´t imagine spending a whole week only there. But as it is very close to Germany and France you could always cross the border and do daytrips to different places. Maybe even go skiing if you are into winter sports. I also remember Switzerland not to be the cheapest place on earth, you might even want to consider just flying there and get accomodation in another country.
And if you after all don´t want to head north for Christmas, how about a week in Turkey? A friend of mine stayed there (in Istambul and on the coast) for her christmas holidays and she not only recommends it for being very cheap, but also says it´s beautiful country. If you need anymore info on that just let me know!

Hope this helps,

Steff
