i plan to travel in thailand, cambodia, laos and vietnam- including northern parts of laos and vtn(prabang, hanoi) in january and february. could anybody tell me, please, what are the temperatures in theese areas? just t-shirt and shorts would be ok?
thank you for sharing your experiences with me
You should have no problem with shorts and T-shirts in most places. (Some temples/wats may restrict you.)
However, I would bring a long sleeve shirt with you that you can use for a jacket.
When the A/C is too cold on the bus or train or when you are in cooler windy areas you will be glad you have the long sleeves.
I always bring a pair of light weight long pants with me, but that's my quirk.
I'll be in those places around the same time. planning on taking a couple of pairs of zipoffs, some short sleeved shirts and a long sleeved linen one. maybe a light fleece in case it's cold in the evening.
You should be prepared for cold weather in Northern Vietnam in Jan/Feb. Night temperatures can drop to around 4 degrees c. If you decide to head up into the hills around Sapa then definately make sure you take something warm to wear.
thank you all for advices!
hope to meet you kenmc somewhere in asia
