I would like to drive by car from Venice to Budapest to Vienna and then to Prague (if there is enough time) all within 10 days.
Anyone have any suggestions as to whether I am trying to do too much in 10 days.
Once I decide my overall trip I will use the boards for each segment.
Thanks in advance.
10 days does seem a little short for a trip of this sort. Seeing each of the cities alone would take you around that long. You may want to reconsider the length of your trip.
It depends if you only planning to stop wandering between Venice-Bp. and Bp.-Prague or not.
In the latter case you should count with one day driving from Venice to Budapest and about 5 to 7 hours on the route from Budapest to Prague. The latter one is easier to fulfill, as you can make it all on highway (crossing Győr (H), Bratislava (SK), Brno (CZ)).
In Hungary on the way to Slovenia it is only possible to benefit of highway from Zamárdi / Siófok to Budapest (M7).
For Budapest I'd suggest 3 days, and with a car you can easily make a daytrip to the Danube bend.
Thanks. I changed my plans a bit based some on what you said.
