My boyfriend is going to London for work in first week of December. We will stay 2 weeks in London while he works then want to see as much as we can of Europe in the next 3 weeks. Both never been before. Don't want to ski - just see the best bits/sites. Where shall we go? Please help
Its very much the wrong time for traveling Europe as its cold with rain,hail,snow!!!!,6hrs daylight, hotels are very expensive and if you have been watching the news you cannot go to Paris or France due to riots etc; so!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Have 3-4 days in Amsterdam to see the nightlife and maybe a few tourist sites open and come back to London for Christmas and New Year as it will be a great time in London.
Barcelona for good nightlife and some heat and a little bit of Spain.!!!!!!!!!!!.
Try Dublin to have a walk around the city bars until your head is not in the right place and maybe take a bus(5eur)upto Belfast for a few days as lots to see and great nightlife.
Malta and Sicily are only 3hrs away and nice and warm for great siteseeing Malta takes some beating. www.maltabargains.com and www.ryanair.com and www.flybmi.com and www.airlingus and their is eurostar the fasttrain to Paris from London Waterloo Station but Paris????????????????.
For accomodation try top and side of page and www.smoothound.com
Wishing you a great time travelling and I shall be in Thailand for New Year.

what about Austria, Switzerland or Germany in December??? ok, it is probably awful weather (raining and cold), but maybe you will see some snow! And you don't have to ski!
Anyway, you can enjoy the Christmas Markets (Christkindlmarkt) and drink some yummy Glühwein (hot wine with spices) or hot chocolate to warm you up from inside!
I haven't travelled a lot in GB yet, so sorry, no help there.....
Prague for example is very nice. YOu can discover a lot of things as well..... BUt it might be very cold too....
If you prefer a warmer place, go to Spain or Italy or Portugal! Rome supposed to be very nice, I still want to go there.....
Barcelona of course is pretty! I love this city and had a great time there! -snip-
And of course, we shouldn't forget the city of LOVE: Paris! It is very nice there over Christmas, well, maybe crowed, but worth it!
anyway, maybe I could give you some ideas about where to go....
Good luck for your decision and enjoy your time!
