My brother is going to London next week and I'm hoping to find a good calling card service to keep in touch with him. Any suggestions?

Well, these days I swear by skype. Just don't see the need for paying if you can do it for free :)

I have skype now - but it gets a little static interference when i use it even locally - not sure how it will be long distance...

It can be flaky every now and then, but most of the time it's really good. For comparison, I talked to two different companies in the States this week via my regular phone and both times there was an echo of 5 seconds...very annoying. In the meantime, I had two conference calls on skype, both with two other persons (one in Australia and one in Europe) and those were perfect! But sometimes it gets a teeeny weeny bit fiddly

Thanks for all the help folks!
