Chao Co,

Where you stay depends on how much you want to spend per night.

Here are a few hotels on Sukhumvit Road. Sukhumvit Road is a good choice because the Skytrain can quickly and cheaply get you to many places in Bangkok. You can eat at the Foodland Supermarket restaurant on Soi 5 real cheap too.

(Sois usually run odd numbers on one side of the street and even numbers on the other side, 2-4-6, etc. one side 1-3-5-7 other side.)

SUKHUMVIT CROWN HOTEL, Sukhumvit Soi 6-8, you can see it from the Nana Skytrain stop. It's the brick building behind the concrete "never completed" parking garage.
Fan rooms 470 baht. AirCon rooms available for around 800 baht. Private toilet/bathroom and TV.

Next two hotels are also close to the Nana Skytrain stop, on the odd side of the street.

BUSINESS INN HOTEL, Sukhumvit Soi 11 (look for a Konika camera shop on the corner.) Was 500 baht per room a few months ago. Including HW and A/C. Small rooms, private toilet/bathroom, probably a TV. The lobby has a good travel agency that I have used several times over the last 7 years. You can see the hotel from the main road.

PRESIDENT INN HOTEL, Sukhumvit Soi 11, it's just after the Business Inn where the road bends. About 500 or 600 baht per night. Basic small room, A/C, private bathroom.

Other economy hotels in this area are in the 600 to 1200 baht range. Internet shops and lots of interesting stores and vendors in this area.

Wow....

I can make a recommendation.... The DROPINN on Suk, Soi 20 is very reasonable. The price is 1700 TBht, about $35 But the Location is GREAT... close to sukhumvit....100 meters... but side street...quiet...and It was rebuilt in late 2003. I am going to stay there in January for a couple of short periods.

If you are going to Grab some Beautiful Thai Woman for adventures - -Soi Cowboi is only two blocks...easy open street walking !!

here is the Website http://www.dropinnbangkok.com they have a local map on the site... good luck... I may see you on the STREET THERE !

No problem with Guests at the hotel !! READ THE FORUMS on the site for more INFO
