I am a 24 year old student from California. I plan to go backpacking Europe starting March 31st. I really wanted to include a trip to Egypt (pyramids) in my journey. I am travelling with a friend of mine and plan to see Spain, Italy, France, England,Germany, Switzerland, Morrocco, and maybe even Egypt. We are backpacking, staying with hosts from www.globalfreeloaders.com and also youth hostels. If anyone would like to join us or maybe just meet up for a drink or coffeee let us know.
I was wondering what would be the easiest and cheapest way to get there (Cairo)? I was planning to go to Italy and also to Greece can I fly cheaply out of thoose countries? I also plan to go to Morrocoo...does any one have any suggestions for Morrocco as well?
Can anyone help me?
My name is Johnny Moretti, and I leave for Rome on March 28 from San Francisco. I'm traveling alone via EuroRail and hosteling. I plan on visiting 7-8 countries in Western/Eastern Europe. Let me know where you are when in Europe and maybe we can hook up. You can visit my own page at www.johnmoretti.com, although that won't tell you much!
Best./cheapest way to Morocco is through southern Spain. Take the ferry to Tangier, and then you can travel easily within Morocco. Enjoy!
I live in Belgium and the cheapest way to go to Morocco is to take a flight from (any european city) to Malaga (Southern Spain) and then take the boat ot Mellilia or Tanger. I would recommend you to visit Marrakech, Essaouira, Ouazerzate,... If you are in Egypt try to combine a cruise on the Nile with a beachholiday in Hurghada. On a cruise you'll visit the most beautiful temples. (Luxor, Edfu, Aswan...)If you'll pass trough Brussels or Antwerp you can send me a email.
GreetZ and have fun!
Don't go to North Africa during the holiday season (too hot and too crowded and too expensive!)
I will be traveling in europe in May. I have no concrete plans so if your interested reply.
I will be traveling around Morocco via southern spain for the last two weeks in August. I
don't know if you will still be traveling by then, but it would be great to have someone
around. I'm a 21 year old female from the East Coast (usa). I have heard that Marrakech is
not to be missed and that Casablanca is not that great. I also want to go to Fes. Drop me
a line if you will be in Morocco in late august.
[ Edit: sorry, no email addresses in the forum please. ]
i'm strongly considering a eurorailing trip round the iberian peninsula + morocco, early september. Do you have any tips? things to see, good hostels?
