Keep it simple and say Hi. Just not in a creepy 'heeey' kinda way- just be yourself. It's always nice to know some one out there cares about you.

luv Tikilou. x

Women haven't changed. Men haven't changed much either. Were there weirdo's "back then". I bet you there were. So why this change ? People are afraid, that's why. Too much evening news, too many horror movies. People are too afraid to take even the slightest chance. All any guy wants is to be met halfway.

i wholeheartedly agree.
however. some of the arguments of the women on this side of the conversation are just as valid. quite simply, the bottom line is, do whatever feels right for you, becuase thats the only right there is.
take that along with no one being so uptight and you have a simple situation.

as far as stalking goes.. ive had a number of girls stalk me during high school, and whereas it is disconcerting and definitely irritating, it is also not something to lose your head over. when it came down to it, i would just be straightforward and say what i felt, and usually resolve the problem. but, i didnt let it stop me from giving every girl the benefit of the doubt that she just had genuine healthy interest in me, not stalker tendencies. the same *should* go vice versa for girls.

but then the fear of rape, the argument ive had is that 'your a guy, you dont have to worry about the physical struggle' not entirely true. ive heard stories of rufies and viagra put in guys drinks. and dont say that 'guys always want sex' line. im not gonna say guys arent more aggresive in general, but not all guys are fufilling that stereotype. in fact, probably alot less than you'd think.
I'm the proof in the pudding. i was molested/raped by a woman when i was very young. i dont remember much, but still, it happens. maybe becuase of it i take dating and sex a bit more seriously, but i know that, and bottom line is, im fine.
so really, its just fear, like QZ said. you can get raped being a guy, too. but you dont see guys being overprecautious. its the same fear that keeps some people from travelling alone, or walking the streets at night alone, or anything else.
so i guess..
nothing is as it seems! *ghost noise and wiggling fingers*

Quoting CupCake

You do realize you have to keep us updated with new developments now Q? (Keeping my fingers crossed for you! :) )

Ok, let me close out this thread. Without going into all the somewhat complicated details, my plan was to ask the girl in question out tonight. She didn't show up, so I got this other cute girl's number instead and we're probably going out next Friday (it's an event being arranged by this guy I know and I'm waiting for the exact details before I call her, but she was already really looking forward to it).

So enough about my love life. I've shared probably too much already. Cheers !

Q! And you leave us on this cliffhanger?! We want the details! ;)

Kidding. All the best with the cute girl. Go for it!

Speaking of stalking, years ago I had this poof after me at university for a few months. It was really irritating, and to be honest I didn't know what to do. Some people said, "go and punch his face in" and other people were like "go and report him to the so-and-so officer"

Well it was difficult because I'm not into punching people's faces in, but nor am I going to go "running to mummy" and start making a formal complaint.

I'd told this guy that I wasn't gay, and wanted nothing to do with him, but he kept coming up to me in the cafetria and asking me to go to these gay parties, etc.

The last straw was when I was in the cafeteria with my friends, and one of them noticed that he had a camera, and was taking sly photos in my direction. That's when I really lost my temper and went over to him and grabbed his camera and through it out the window onto the road. My friends said that I should had done something like that earlier. I just pitied the sad, lonely (and obviously desperate )bloke really.

Stalkers? I have my fair share. Including one who i've never knowingly seen or worked out who they are, but who phones me with alarming regularity, and also emails me to say things they could not possily know unless they had seen me. It spooked me a bit to start with, but over 4 years later, i'm now used to it.

And then there's Kiki ((shudder)) ...

My earlier post reported as spam?

I hit the submit button and get the "page cannot be displayed" so I hit the "back" button and submit it again, resulting in my post being duplicated, both at 3rd Dec 05, 12:12.

There's really no need to report is as spam

Ok, Ok Gelli, I will quit calling...;) .....
and James...I think it got marked as spam as it is the only way to bring it to the attention of those who can 'fix' double posts. I don't think you could spam if you wanted too...and I mean that in the nicest possible way ;)
