Full Moon Party - Koh Pha Ngan - Where to stay?

Travel Forums Asia Full Moon Party - Koh Pha Ngan - Where to stay?

G.Star has indicated that this thread is about Thailand

Just wanted some opinions on where to stay while on the island (for 5 nights total).. My first few choices turned out to be no good because they require a longer stay over the full moon period. :(

I've been looking into Ibiza bungalows and a few others, is it easy to travel to the party from that side of the island? WHat about other things to do on the other days that I am there?

I am travelling alone so will be after some young people like myself to socialise with.

Any advice would be much appreciated :)

The Harmony Beach resort is ideal. It's very close to where the party is (you can walk along the beach), has it's own private beach and is only 450baht per night.
(I am staying there from 22nd till 28th Dec).
Good luck,

Had Yuan beach - a ten minute long-tail ride from Had Rin.

A fair amount of decent places to stay and a great beach for swimming.

thanks for your help everyone,

I have booked into Harmony Beach REsort which is walking distance to hard rin but far away enough for no sound, and has a pool and private beach ;)

Might see you at the full moon party anyway nickydutch :)

happy & save money, stay at same same lodge on Had Rin, easy access to the party. Take a look here Accommodation info FYI if anyone is looking for discounted rates for diving, just click on Scuba diving

Cya there!

We are planning to head to Koh Pha Ngan for December's Full Moon party, this may sound silly question but is it essential to book accommodation before you get there?

Cheers :-)

It depends on how many days before the party you arrive. There are quite a few places on the island. I think the island books out over full moon because there are 10000 tourists and not that many beds - i would either arrive several days ahead or book.
