I'm an American girl at a university in the northeast looking for some creative ideas for a 10 day break in March. I'm really not looking for a typical "spring break" scene. Just somewhere beautiful, warm, and !cheap! where I can be active (hiking, biking, kayaking, etc) and where I'll run into other young people and travelers, not just springbreakers. Any advice is greatly appreciated...Cheers!
Somewhere in Central America would probably meet your needs. Costa Rica is the most popular, but both Panama and Guatamela offer similar attractions at a smaller cost. Lots of flights from the North East down to San Jose, Costa Rica, and you can set out from there.
Me and a buddie are going on a road trip this Spring Break for 9 days. Starting in South Florida, the goal is to get to the Grand Canyon, but if we don't make it because we are having too much fun else where then that will be ok. ROAD TRIPS ARE AWESOME! Just us and the open road....
