while i plan to be in south america by the end of jannuary i started checking out the prices for the flights that i will need to take. I could not believe how expensive they are. For expample the price i found from British Airways for a ticket from Cyprus to Chile and from Rio to Cyprus was 920 Cyprus pounds!! ( $1900!!)
Please help me out here. where can i find cheap flights to South America?
I don't know if you have it out there but I use www.statravel.co.uk for all the cheapest flights from the UK. Otherwise do a search on the web: cheapflights.com and opodo.com come to mind. There are also several airlines like Varig which offer much cheaper flights to the likes of BA
I booked my tickets with Air France directly, which is cheaper than Opodo and travelocity. They fly from Paris to Rio de Janeiro. Maybe you could get a cheap flight to Paris and then fly from here to SA. They cost me around £500 (stg).
The tickets are expensive and often the price varies alot depending on your place of departure. I found it too expensive flying from my country, so I ended up buying my ticket from a neighbouring country instead.. and finding a cheaper way to get there.
thanks a lot for your input.
