I have a dream, to reach the East Coast by boat, do you now if is it possible? I want to live the 'immigrant dream'! Are there boats for passengers specialized in this? In Italy, where I live, I didn't find any usefull information. Thank you very much for your help (and sorry for my bad english!)

Check out the cruise lines: Carnival, Royal Carribean, American Cruise Lines, Cunard, Norwegian Cruise Lines.

I know that Cunard still runs the Queen Mary 2 from the United Kingdom to the US every year, but I presume that it's really expensive.

Good luck.

Enjoy

I'm not sure that sailing aboard Royal Carribean would equate to much of an "Immigrant Dream", haha.

You could go by freighter. Not cheap tho. Check this out:

You might consider 'volunteering' as a deckhand on some of these transport ships, cruise ships or sailing vessels. Some guy biked around the world a while back and the way he got across the oceans was by working on these ships for free passage. If I find that link I'll post it...
