Hi I am an 18 year old taking a year out of education to do some traveling but i have no idea what to do. If anybody could give me helping hand on what i need to do, it would be much appreciated.
Im not sure what time of the year to go so was wondering what time of the year is a nice time to go.
Thank you for your time and hope to hear from someone soon
I was also wondering if it was possible to do a stop over in Hong Kong for a few nights?? i know that Australia From England is a long flight and that tey have stop overs at places, was wondering if it was possible to stop over in Hong Kong
I can't give you too much advice as this is my first time too.
However, if you're planning to go to OZ after January next year, drop me a line as I'll be finished on the job I've got lined up and I'll be planning a traveling trip (don't know where yet). If you fancy joining me, you'll be very welcome.
If you decide to go out before then, you could always drop in to Holbrook and say hello.
It is possible to stop over in hongkong! - I've done it with CathayPacific and Qantas (and British Airways) do...there must be others as well - shop around to get the best price.
You will need to get a visa of some sort....I'm assuming that you want to work a bit so see this page to get you started on how to apply: http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/visiting_whm.htm
Have a look at other posts which have asked about good things to see and do. Weather is a tricky one - it is a big country after all! If you are in the northern parts of NT, WA and QLD then summer (Dec-Feb) is going to be pretty hot - temps around 39-38 celcius are common. Summer is milder the further south you get - will be a very comfy summer in Melb/Hobard/Adelaide/Syd etc. Spring (Sept-Nov) is a great time to go and in Winter you will be able to ski in some parts of Vic/NSW/Tas....just depends if you are into that. Parts of NT have very warm temps in the day through winter but at night drop to near zero. anyway, see the governments page for the latest on weather in oz http://www.bom.gov.au/
hope this has been helpful!
Hey thanx for the help i think ive got a pretty good idea now of what im going to be doing. thanx for the help again and never know might see you out there lol.
When you search for flights you will have the option of direct or non-direct-you will obviously go non-direct and you can then stop off! ood luck-Oz is great-there's so much to do!
